ၾသစေၾတးလ်နိုင္ငံက ျမန္္မာႏိုင္ငံအေပၚ ေငြေၾကးအရ အေရးယူ ဒဏ္ခတ္မႈ စာရင္းတိုးခ်ဲ႕သတ္မွတ္

ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ျပဳျပင္ေျပာင္းလဲမႈမရွိုလို႔ ၾသစေတးလ်ႏုိင္ငံက စစ္အစုိးရအေပၚ ဒဏ္ခတ္အေရးယူထားတာကို တုိးျမင့္လုိက္ပါတယ္။ ဘ႑ာေငြေၾကး ဒဏ္ခတ္အေရးယူထားတဲ့ စာရင္းထဲမွာ ေနာက္ထပ္ ၄၅ေယာက္ ထပ္တုိးလုိက္ေၾကာင္း ၾသစေတးလ် ႏုိင္ငံျခားေရး ၀န္ႀကီး စတီဖန္ စမစ္က ဗုဒၶဟူးေန႔မွာ ထုတ္ျပန္ေၾကညာပါတယ္။ ထပ္တုိးလုိက္တဲ့ အေရးယူခံ ၄၅ေယာက္ထဲမွာ စစ္အစုိးရေခါင္းေဆာင္မ်ား၊ ၀န္ႀကီးမ်ား၊ ထင္ရွားတဲ့ စီးပြားေရး လုပ္ငန္းရွင္မ်ားနဲ႔ မိသားစု၀င္မ်ား ပါ၀င္ၾကပါတယ္။ ၂၀၀၇ခု ေအာက္တုိဘာလမွာ ၾသစေတးလ် အစုိးရက ျမန္မာစစ္အစုိးရကို ဒဏ္ခတ္အေရးယူ လုိက္ခ်ိန္က စၿပီး အေရးယူ ခံထားရတဲ့ ပုဂၢိဳလ္ ၄၆၃ေယာက္ ရွိေနၿပီး၊ ျမန္မာ ဗုိလ္ခ်ဳပ္ႀကီးမ်ားရဲ႕ မိသားစု၀င္မ်ား၊ သူတုိ႔နဲ႔ အက်ိဳးတူ စီးပြားေရး လုပ္ကိုင္ဖက္မ်ားပါ၀င္ၾကပါတယ္။

ေနအိမ္အက်ယ္ခ်ဳပ္ ခ်ခံေနရတဲ့ ဒီမုိကေရစီ ေခါင္းေဆာင္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ကုိ လႊတ္ေပးဖုိ႔ ၾသစေတးလ် အစုိးရက တုိက္တြန္းလုိက္ၿပီး ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံ ဆင္းရဲ အထီးက်န္ ျဖစ္ရတဲ့အတြက္လည္း စစ္အစုိးရ ျပစ္တင္ေ၀ဖန္ထားပါတယ္။ ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္နဲ႔ ႏုိင္ငံေရး အက်ဥ္းသား ၂၀၀၀ ေလာက္ကို အက်ဥ္းခ်ထားျခင္းက ႏုိင္ငံေရး အရ တုိးတက္မႈ မျဖစ္ေစဘူးလုိ႔လည္း ၾသစေတးလ် ႏုိင္ငံျခားေရး ၀န္ႀကီး စမစ္က ေထာက္ျပေ၀ဖန္သြားပါတယ္။

Austria extends Burma financial sanction

Australia will extend financial sanctions targeted at members of Burma's elite, aimed at encouraging its military junta to move towards democracy.

The financial sanctions, which were put in place last year, add to visa restrictions against senior members of the Burmese regime, their associates and supporters.

"For many years, Burma's regime ... has shown a profound disregard for the human rights and democratic aspirations of the Burmese people," Foreign Minister Stephen Smith told parliament.

He said the government was reviewing the list of individuals subject to sanction in order to give the measures maximum impact.

The revised list names 463 individuals compared with 418 people on the previous list.

"These sanctions will maintain pressure on the Burmese regime, but are not aimed at the Burmese people themselves," Mr Smith said.
